Search & Match: Skill Match Now Uses Your Configured Job Description Setting

What's new?

Skill Match, which powers the skill details you see when hovering over a candidate's relevancy bar, now uses the same job description setting as Autobuild and Automatch. If your preferred job description field is blank or too short, Skill Match automatically falls back to the other description field.

Why does it matter?

You'll now see skill match details in more cases where you previously saw none. This also keeps Skill Match consistent with how Autobuild and Automatch work, giving you a unified experience across your candidate search and matching tools.

How do I enable this?

This update is automatically available for all Search & Match customers. Skill Match automatically uses whichever job description field your organization has configured as the preferred source in Admin > Search Admin > Autobuild & Automatch Configuration. If that field is blank or below the minimum character threshold, Skill Match falls back to the other description field, with no additional action needed.
